A splendid initiative promoted by the Nove Ceramics Museum involved us on 17 May in a presentation of the history and characteristics of Nove ceramics, combined with our art form: wine.
Two excellences of the Bassano area came together side by side in an evening themed around ART.
What was most surprising during the evening was discovering that wine and ceramics from our region actually have a lot in common.
For example, we saw that the Brenta River is an important influence both for vines and their cultivation (see terroir) and for the transport of stones and logs for the production of ceramics.
In addition, many of the ceramic works from Nove, such as jugs and mugs, were decorated with embroidery and Venetian sayings related to wine.
Guests were able to learn about two local excellences, listening to an interesting presentation on ceramics and tasting our wines.
Thanks to the Museum of Nove for its hospitality and for the wonderful and surprising evening that brought us together!
