Our town turned PINK!
Bassano hosted the finish line of the penultimate stage of the 2024 Giro d’Italia, which started in Alpago. This incredibly challenging 184 km stage included two ascents of Monte Grappa, followed by the steep ascent of Ca’ del Poggio.
Tadej Pogačar crossed the finish line in Via delle Fosse in Bassano bowing to the fans, an emotional moment that moved everyone present.
It was an exciting day for Bassano’s citizens and businesses, who proudly showed their support by decorating shop windows and homes in the colour of cycling’s most coveted jersey.
Our friends at the Canevaroli group organised a wonderful initiative, hosting a refreshment area for journalists and Giro staff.
They collaborated with several local companies, including Brunello Salumi, Golosità Pasticceria, the Asiago PDO Consortium and local high schools. They also featured wines from Cantina Zoe.
Bassano offered its signature warm welcome and received glowing praise for both its products and hospitality.
We are proud to have contributed to the event and are even more thrilled to have witnessed such a powerful and emotional end to one of the world’s most iconic sporting events.
